A chance?  A chance?  Well, let’s keep our heads up North Lake Tahoe-ians!

Yes, it’s December 9th, 2008, and we are still waiting for the first major dump (of snow) for the season.  Some of the mountains are open with small strips of machine-blown snow.  Some of my friends have hiked up to higher elevations to find patches of nature-made snow.  I am still waiting until the first major snow.

I have my gear ready to go.  This year, I purchased a new Burton snowboard jacket, and as luck would have it, found a perfectly matching bright green ProTec helmet at the ski shop, Porter’s Essentials, downstairs from my office.  I also got some new Nidecker boots from my friend since I am helping him edit his first book.  I put on all my gear – maybe, just maybe that will lure our snow gods?

A chance?  A chance?  Well, let’s keep our heads up North Lake Tahoe-ians!
